THE LOONSE AND DRUNENSE NATIONAL PARK
Surrounded by the cities of Tilburg, Waalwijk and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the national park of Loonse and Drunense is often called the Sahara of the Netherlands. Spanning some 3,500 hectares, it has the largest area of drifting sand in Europe, and the blowing wind ensures an ever-changing landscape. It has been a national park since 2002, and it is definitely worth a visit! Whether travelling as a couple, a family, or a group of friends, spend some time away from your accommodation at the campsite and head to this magnificent park. Admire the endless dunes and the coniferous forest, and listen to the melodious songs of the birds.
You can walk or rent a bike at reception and cycle into one of the most beautiful areas of the Netherlands! And of course, you can also explore this area on horseback. Enjoy the hiking trails, starting at 6 kilometres, and ranging right up to 30 kilometres for the most daring of hikers.

CITY TRIPS IN LARGER CITIES
Ideally located near larger Netherlands cities, the campsite is the perfect starting point for a quick city excursion! Take advantage of your stay to explore the richness of Tilburg, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam.
Start with Tilburg, at 22-minute drive from the campsite, where art and culture mingle. Visit the DePont Museum or the Natuurmusuem Brabant, offering something to suit all the family. And for an amazing immersive art experience, don’t forget the Doloris’ Meta Maze, a climb-through art exposition.
Then, drive to Rotterdam – another hour-long drive. Don’t miss the must-see tourist sites: EuroMast, the Port of Rotterdam, the Remastered Art Gallery, or Rotterdam Zoo!
And on top of that, explore the capital of the Netherlands, just an hour and a half from the campsite. Amsterdam, the world’s most vibrant city, is worth a visit for its rich history and picturesque network of canals.
